The Appliance Barn – 30-Day Warranty Policy
At The Appliance Barn, we sell used appliances that are tested to ensure proper function at the time of sale.
Our goal is to ensure that no customer leaves with a non-working product. That’s why we offer a 30-day limited warranty, focused on the normal operational performance of the appliance.
Warranty Coverage
If an appliance fails during normal operating use within 30 days of purchase, and is not due to customer-caused damage, we will, at our discretion:
- Repair the unit, or
- Replace it with a unit of equal or greater value, based on availability.
What the Warranty Covers
- Functional defects that prevent the appliance from performing its intended use.
- Malfunctions that are not caused by improper handling, misuse, or installation.
Warranty Limitation
- Cosmetic damage such as dents, scratches, discoloration, or wear that does not affect operation.
- Damage caused by the customer, including misuse, drops, flooding, electrical issues, or improper installation.
- Appliances installed without a certified installer may have their warranty voided at our discretion.
- Any unauthorized repair attempts or disassembly will void the warranty.
- Damage due to power surges, fire, water, pests, or other external/environmental causes.
- Accessories or parts such as hoses, shelves, knobs, light bulbs, and racks are not covered by this warranty. The warranty only applies to the appliance’s core functionality.
- Warranty service is available only within our normal service and delivery area. Units located outside our area must be returned to our warehouse for warranty eligibility.
- The Appliance Barn is not responsible for indirect or secondary damages, including but not limited to food spoilage, water damage, floor damage, or other losses resulting from appliance failure.
Warranty Conditions
- In-store purchases must be brought to our warehouse for evaluation. We do not offer pickup for warranty returns.
- If the unit functions properly during testing at our warehouse, it is not considered defective, and warranty service is not required.
- Delivery purchases are not required to return the unit to us for warranty service.
- Warranty applies one time only per unit and remains tied to the original purchase date.
- Warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original buyer.
Customer Responsibilities
- Customers are expected to use the appliance for its intended residential purpose, following all care and use instructions.
- Failure to maintain or operate the unit properly may result in a voided warranty.
- Customers must initiate a warranty claim within the 30-day period by contacting us and providing a clear description (and photos/videos if requested).
- Claims must be reviewed and approved by The Appliance Barn before any service is provided.
Refunds
Refunds are not offered as part of the warranty policy. In limited circumstances, a refund may be issued at our sole discretion. Please refer to our Refund Policy for more information.
